We Take a Great Amount of Pride in What We Do
Our team is committed to changing your tomorrow.
We make it our business to be highly skilled in supporting children and young people, families, schools and employers. We are passionate and care deeply about each and every child and young person with SEND and want the very best for them. We will work collaboratively with all people and organisations but we will not compromise on the law and our exceptional expectations for children and young people’s ability to achieve in this world.
Our Background
Our team has years of experience teaching children and young people with SEND, supporting families through their SEND journeys and leading on SEND and Inclusion in schools. Our work has been scrutinised and praised by a number of different bodies such as Ofsted, the NAS, internal and external audits and via qualifications gained over time. We work with a wide range of needs both in and out of schools including but not limited to:
- Autism including PDA
- ADHD
- Developmental Coordination Difficulties and Dyspraxia
- Down Syndrome
- Dyscalculia and other numeracy difficulties
- Dyslexia and other literacy difficulties
- Hearing and Visual Impairments
- Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy needs including Sensory Processing Difficulties/Disorders
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, including those involving self-harm or requiring safeguarding
- Speech and Language Difficulties
Our team is highly experienced in applying for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA) leading to full EHC Plans being awarded. Also delivering and managing the provision required in EHCPlans and running subsequent Annual Reviews, as outlined in the SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years, 2015. We are confident in referring children and young people to specialists both via the Local Authority and privately, including CAMHS, Specialist teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Educational Psychologists and work in partnership with them to implement, monitor and review provision for the child.
We have spent years in leadership and governance across primaries, secondaries, mainstreams and special schools effecting and championing whole school change for SEND, Inclusion (equalities and PP) and Safeguarding. We both advise and deliver on changes required to improve provision for pupils with SEND and those disadvantaged, including upskilling teachers and support staff, governors and parents. This includes holding positions on governing bodies and trustee boards.
Our experience extends to Exams Access Arrangements from SATs, to GCSEs and A-levels including assessments, completion of paperwork in line with JCQ, applications to examination bodies and recommendations for schools in regard to Normal Ways of Working.
Members of our team sit on placement panels in a number of Local Authorities to support decision making on which educational settings are most appropriate for children, as well as providing Local Authorities advice on complex cases and how to improve services across the county. We have links with universities including affiliated lecturing on NASENCO courses offering insight and advice to new SENDCos.
